15:00 – Screening of the film “Resistance” by Real History. After the screening – conversation with the film’s director Serhii Krymskyi

The documentary project “Resistance” team found Ukrainians who survived the occupation and atrocities of Russian soldiers, prepared exclusive interviews where the heroes will talk about their struggle. Among the heroes are ordinary people – a volunteer from Mariupol, a director of a village cultural center, a Crimean artist, but their stories impress with courage and love for their native land. After the screening – a conversation with creative producer Natalia Sukach. Watching documentary films allows hearing the truth firsthand and immersing oneself in the reality of temporarily occupied territories, which for the average viewer from a rear city is “terra incognita,” as there is very little and largely contradictory information about them. For IDPs, it’s a connection to their “small homeland,” an opportunity to find understanding with others.

14:00 – Children’s workshop with Alevtyna Kakhidze “Freedom Notebook”

(Registration required – up to 15 children)

A workshop for children aged 9-15, first presented at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and conducted in many countries where Ukrainian children are present. During it, Alevtyna Kakhidze encourages participants to reflect on their own war experiences. She helps them explore the connection between safety and freedom using a coloring book she specially designed for this workshop.
