Unseen Force exhibition Lviv

The opening event gathered over 150 participants and featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including exhibition curator Olha Mukha, artists Maksym Palenko and Diana Berg, Asia Pavlenko from the Ukrainian Institute, Denys Chystykov from the Presidential Representative Office in Crimea, culturologist Oksana Darmoriz, and Anhelina Yefymenko from the Gunpowder Tower. Erika Birkenpas (the head of the USAID-UCBI 4 project, “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative”) described the exhibition as a testimony of Ukrainian resistance, noting that non-violent resistance is recorded in Ukrainian DNA. The closing of the exhibition was honored by the presence of USAID Ukraine Mission Director Julie Koenen.

The exhibition’s public program featured a series of engaging events, including workshops, discussions, film screenings, and guided tours. The lecture by Akim Galimov, founder of the “Real History” project, on “300 years of struggle: Destruction of Ukrainian identity as the foundation of resistance” was particularly well-received, attracting the largest audience.

Other notable events included a children’s workshop with Alevtyna Kakhidze, a public discussion with IDPs, a screening of the film “Resistance,” and panel discussions on documenting the war and the role of culture in resistance, featuring speakers such as Sasha Dovzhyk, Uliana Sevastiyaniv, Ostap Slyvynsky, and Vasyl Kmet.
